CELESTIAL NAVIGATION
For thousands of years, celestial navigation has guided mariners across the trackless oceans of our planet. In the open seas the navigator uses the sun, moon, planets or stars to fix his position on the surface of the earth... This course is important for any serious sailor who wants more than just relying on GPS.
This course is a requirement for the Ocean Yachtmaster Certificate, both with International Yachtmaster Training and Yachting Australia.
However, there is more to celestial navigation than finding out a position. There is a mystical element. It involves sharing the environment surrounding us and functioning with it...

We are running comprehensive Introduction to Sailing courses from our Sydney based sailing school every week. All hands-on, lots of fun, on the water all the time, and a great way to learn to sail.

If you want to do more than just pulling on a sheet without understanding why; or putting lettuce and chicken in the bowl, this is the course for you! LEARN ABOUT THE WEATHER: MARINE METEOROLOGY
Understanding the weather is critical for safety! This is not just about reading a forecast, but verifying its acuracy by making your own observations.
We are running full-time 2 + 1/2 days courses and evening workshops on "Marine Meteo . These events are intensive aiming at understanding weather systems; causes & consequences. Based on practical observations to help with self-forecasting. Lecturer: Jonathan Bogais. Limited number.

We are conducting adventure special projects. These cover sailing only or combined sailing, kayaking, diving, mountain climbing, skying & treking. Most of these projects are comprehensive and challenging expeditions in areas including Nth Atlantic, Antarticta, NZ, and Sth east Asia, among others worldwide.. All leaders are very experienced adventure or extreme sports specialists in all those fields.. Special conditions apply..
