Sailing with Attitude - Our outdoor sports & adventure centre is based in Sydney, Australia. It includes a unique sailing school covering sailing courses and workshops suh as introduction to sailing, learn to sail from competent crew and inshore skipper to advanced sailing techniques; navigation and marine meteorology accredited from beginner to coastal skipper and yachtmaster levels. Running adventure projects and teaching about ecology and culture.

International accreditations

All sail training completed at Sailing with Attitude is accredited with the International Sailing Schools Association. Based in Switzerland, the ISSA promotes excellence in sailing worldwide.

Through the ISSA, students have access to a large number of sister-schools around the world. Certificates are fully recognised for yacht charter worldwide.

Team-building programmes

More than just a fun day playing games, our team-building programmes are designed to build effective relationships in a challenging environment. We offer arange of possibilities to suit your needs.

We are running most of our programmes on the Tribal Warrior vessel, the oldest working boat in Australia. Great challenge! Email for details.

Celestial Navigation

For thousands of years celestial navigation has guided mariners across the trackless oceans of our planet. In the open seas the navigator uses the sun, moon, planets or stars to fix his position on the surface of the earth.

However, there is more to celestial navigation than finding out a position. Practising it introduces a mystical element that involves sharing the environment surrounding us and functioning with it...

Sailing adventures

Ideal, intensive, fun, practical onboard for serious beginners..

We are running comprehensive Introduction to Sailing courses from our Sydney based sailing school every week. All hands-on, lots of fun, on the water all the time, and a great way to learn to sail. 4 classes of half-day each (4 x 4-hours), no more than four students per class. Everyone works at all times.. This is much more than just an introduction: One of your friends has bought a yacht and invited you to come for a sail. If you want to do more than just pulling on a sheet without understanding why, or putting lettuce and chicken in the bowl, this is the course for you! Craft Safety

Our shorebased Craft Safety workshops cover vessel preparation, safety, passage planning, deckwork, ropes, mecanical, emergencies. Ask for details

Inshore Skipper (international)

Besides a high level of competency, this programme allows the certificate holder to charter yachts around the world, including in all of the Mediterranean Sea.

Congratulations to the "Paddledogs" ..

The Paddledogs is a crew of regular blokes (average age 45 years) who kayaked across Bass Strait to raise awareness and funds for bipolar disorder research. We assisted them with technical support. Details at Paddledogs

Tribal Warrior..

Come and share the experience. We are running special programmes onboard the oldest working sailing boat in Australia. Built in 1896, the Tribal Warrior, is a 65ft traditional gaff rig design owned by the Tribal Warrior Association.

We are running these programmes in partnership with the Tribal Warrior Association. Join us and support this great community project for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people together.
