When adventurers meet.....

We are pleased to support Clark Carter and Ryan Storey for the "The Race"

Rarely in life does anyone get the opportunity to compete in a “first” – and the Indian Ocean Rowing Race 2009 offers just that. Known as “The World’s Toughest Rowing Race”, the Woodvale-Challenge offers no more than 30 boats from around the world the opportunity to compete on equal terms, to row across the Indian Ocean, using nothing more than their arms and legs to cover the gruelling distance of nearly 6000 kilometres... Community Support Programmes for "children at risk".....

Jonathan sponsors and co-ordinates community projects helping children at risk and young offenders to discover new ways. These programmes are run in association with Crime Prevention Units, Juvenile Justice and inner city councils. Current programmes include New Horizons, a structured course specially designed to suit the needs of young people.

Partners in these programmes include the Pyrmont Heritage Boating Club, the Australian Maritime Museum, the Tribal Warrior Association and Leichaardt City Council.

Many thanks to Michele Goelby from Leichaardt City Council (Crime Prevention Unit), Judi Cameron and Joanne McIntosh for their personal contributions to these projects, together with all volunteers who are donating their time for this great cause.
