MARINE ENGINE DIESEL

We are conducting monthly workshops on all aspects of marine diesel and auxiliary systems for yachts of all sizes (small & large) and motor vessels.
Our lecturers are sea-going Marine Engineers with years of experience of all ship board practices.
These workshops aim mostly at demystifying all aspects of the diesel engine and auxiliary systems on yachts and motor cruisers. There will be a strong emphasis on troubleshooting. No prior knowledge is required to attend this workshop. As part of this workshop a CD will be given with all course notes.

BARS AND BREAKERS

Sailing with Attitude and Tribal Warrior Association are conducting "Bars and Breakers" workshops. These focus on the dangers involved in crossing bars and the fundamentals for the correct procedures.
Topics:
- How bars are formed?
- What makes a bar dangerous?
- Safety procedures and preparation.
- Risk assessment.
- Vessel handling.
- Broaching. Emergencies.
A lot of visual material used during workshops.Lecturers: Keefo Zechariah and Jonathan Bogais. Keefo holds a Master 3 Trading & Fishing certificate. He was a skipper and trainer onboard Tribal Warrior during their circumnavigation of Australia 2002/03 and has a vast experience with bar crossings.
Workshops are conducted onboard Deerubbun at the Sydney Fish Market Marina.Students must remember that this workshop is an aid not a substitute for experience. Bookings are essential.

UNDERSTANDING SAILS

Nigel Williams will gives a series of workshops at Sailing with Attitude's base at the Sydney Fish Market Marina.

- Sail repairs: the ideal kit and how to use it (examples)
- Heavy weather sails
Hand-on events with practical demonstrations and exercises for all participants.
